A determined 7-year-old boy who is obsessed with dinosaurs becomes fixated on winning the last dinosaur stuffed animal from a claw machine, but when an older girl claims the prize first, his frustration sends him into a surreal vision where the giant toy imparts cryptic wisdom. With a new mindset, he leaves the arcade accepting life’s fate. He soon comes back though, with a new fixation: bunnies! This is a one week animation project made under the The New School WIA Student Collective! My first ever animation made in my Digital Painting class at Parsons. My short film showcases reactions to rising sea-levels, an increasingly alarming effect of climate change. My film is set in Vietnam which is a location that is especially affected by this issue.

The Master's Palette follows an inspired girl who gets captivated by an art work's mastery. As she gets absorbed into the experience, she imagines herself in the artwork and falls into an alternate reality. This animated short film is inspired by all of the masters I continuously reference and learn from. Viewing art can transport one's mind; the relationship between the art and the viewer can be considered art itself.

My first charcoal animation! I was inspired by how we often distract our minds during a panic attack. This was in the perspective of a Korean-American who names the colors of the rainbow in her mother tongue. Edited in After Effects.
